My name is Mishi. It's not my real name, but you can find it if you just look at the top of this page anyway. However, only my family and my teachers and other people in positions of authority call me by my real name. I'm also known as Thulesse on Deviantart and Clover at a certain Girl Guide Camp.
I'm 20. My birthday is also on display at the top of this page, so if you did the math you know this already. Send me fanart and you'll have my undying gratitude.
I'm an anime fan. I don't exclusively read/watch shoujo or shounen or any other genre. To me it doesn't matter so long as it has a gripping story and compelling characters... And a bishounen or two doesn't hurt. I honestly don't care whether I'm watching subtitled or dubbed so long as my ears don't bleed. I do have a limit to the kind of stuff I can stand. I may call myself a yaoi fan, but I'm not truly comfortable with the graphic sex portrayed in some of those series, and probably wouldn't be comfortable with similarly graphic scenes in straight hentai or yuri. My one exception is Fumi Yoshinaga, who is a mangaka I love. I'm also the kind of perverse fan who likes a show until it becomes popular. This is what I call the overdose problem. You'll like a series, and it will be all fine and dandy, until some North American company picks it up and shows it on TV. Then, after people talk me to death on the subject, I will quickly lose interest in the series, FOREVER. I used to love Inuyasha. Now I have achieved a lofty plateau of indifference toward it. Because I am fluent in English and French and live in a city where manga in both languages is readily available, I am a very happy fan. I could talk forever about what kind of anime fan I am, so I'll stop here.
What you'll find here is mostly ramblings about my life. You'll probably be nauseated by the love I have for my family, and the love my family has for me. You'll also see a lot of posts about something called MWOS, also known as the Montreal-West Operatic Society, of which I am a member. We do Gilbert and Sullivan. I'll also talk about my friends, my school, and occasionally ramble on about fandom, but not very much. Also, lots of angst. Lots and lots and lots of angst. I'm generally a cheerful person, but I've been going through a rough patch lately and it shows.
